“Conservative” “Christians” take great comfort in considering anyone left-of-center a “baby killer.”
in their eyes, this view makes them fundamentally good people whose salvation is assured.
Their “baby killer view” makes it easy for “conservative” “Christians” to demonize people like me, even though pro-choice views are integral components of societies where abortion rates are generally lower — and often much lower — than they are in societies where abortion is outlawed.
I have been crunching “the abortion numbers” for years and conclude that most often, there are higher rates of abortion in countries where abortion is outlawed, sex education is frowned upon, and contraception is unavailable or available only under a pall of shame.
