    Of course. you are at liberty to categorically condemn "the left" as unworthy of compromise because they're deaf, dumb and blind.
    
    But in so doing you renounce the foundation of American democracy. 
    
    In effect, you've becomea a theocrat/autocrat in service of a whoremonger-liar-cheat-felon-plutocrat. 
    
    You are no longer in a position to claim you're an American patriot because you have turned your back on the core values of "the founders" as well as the core values of the soldiers who comprised The Greatest Generation - a generation that was categorically opposed to authoritarianism in all its forms - including Fascism and neo-Fascism
