The United States is an exceptionally violent country, ever eager to normalize the use of deadly force - a bloodthirsty passion that reached its degraded apogee in the "Stand Your Ground" era when Americans were legalally authorized (and often still are legally authorized) to "shoot to kill" whenever they "feel" threatened by "Trayvon Martin" or anyone else.

Ah! There is one notable exception...

When people-of-color feel threatened by police officers who, in fact, kill hundreds of unarmed black, brown and bronze men every year, these genuine victims are prohibited from using "the fear" justification even though they are threatened -- without probable cause -- more frequently than any other demographic.
