A majority of Americans still believe America is better than Cuba or Russia or China or wherever communist revolutions and coups overthrow elected leaders.

    The military failed in Vietnam.
    
    It failed in Iraq.
    
    And when "the face-saving set" finally gives up on 20 years of Afghan stupidity, it will fail there too.
    
    Christian conservatives are convinced that "redemption" lies in making life (or after-life) so goddamn miserable that people will finally be tortured into changing.
    
    Well, as the history of Christendom demonstrates, that's not true.
    
    And while we're at it...
    
    Why will "banning abortion" eliminate (or even diminish) abortion when you're continually telling us that legal regulation of guns will have no effect?
    
    Y'all believe what you want to believe.
    
    But remember, once you realize that St. Paul was not talking about Donald Trump when he said "the wisdom of the world is folly before God" you can always re-engage rationality and facts.
    
    These two tools are not perfect but they're a heluva lot better than the swelling swamp of irrational superstition.
