This human slug slaughtered civilians in Fallujah, where white phosphorus was illegally used. Yet when the Commander in Chief gives the order for leaving Syria, he resigns like a pussy.

So, if I understand you correctly, Donald Trump hired this "human slug" as one of his "best people."
Here's why...
Trump Has High Praise For Marine General James Mattis: Calls Him "A General's General"

Of course there's always the possibility that Trump hired Mattis precisely because of his reputed murderousness.
That would square neatly with SOBMF's own ruthlessness.
Notably, Obama fired Mattis, whereas Trump proudly re-hired him. (WTF was that all about?!?) https://www.aol.com/article/news/2018/12/23/trump-obama-ingloriously-fired-jim-mattis-i-gave-him-a-second-chance/23625835/
Finally, I see no persuasive evidence that Mattis was guilty of ordering war crimes although the crimes of his underlings render him guilty according to the principle of "command responsibility" which is to say if a crime occurs anywhere lower down in "the chain of command," "top dog" is responsible for not having exercised appropriate oversight. https://www.globalresearch.ca/did-defense-secretary-james-mattis-commit-war-crimes-in-iraq/5607347 (As an aside... Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump subscribes to the "principle" that "the buck stops anywhere but here.)
Do you guys ever read "outside the bubble."
