Donald Trump And "The Hindenburg": A Thread About Normalized Falsehood From Fred Owens Facebook

Alan: Thanks for being clear Fred: TLD's view is "fairy tale, make believe, not true, not sourced."

Disney, which is only one of the 6 publicly-traded behemoths he mentions has 2644 institutional investors, and many of these institutions are mutual funds subscribed by tens of millions of "little guy Americans."

Since there are exactly 4 times as many Republicans as Democrats among America's 50 richest families, decisive control of these 6 companies is almost certainly in the hands of Republicans - not Democrats and Socialists. (An interesting note... The Socialist Party of America has 1500 members.) https://www.forbes.com/sites/katiasavchuk/2014/07/09/are-americas-richest-families-republicans-or-democrats/#1661b5a33e83

My brother G is one of a hundred-plus partners at his prosperous New York accounting firm. Until recently, 2 (two) partners were Democrats, a number that "soared" to 4 (four) in recent years. Those who don't believe that The Republican Party has become The Plutocracy Party are clinically deranged.

If we set aside "fake news, alternative facts, conspiracy theories, whole-cloth-lies and bogus assertions," it becomes clear that people like Trump "run the economy."

Increasingly they rule the economy as their fiefdom.

From time-to-time they will orchestrate an economic "boom" that provides "John Doe" with a paltry sense of prosperity... until the built-in "bust" leaves "John" worse off than before.

Even worse, Trump and his co-conspirators do their damnest not only to contaminate the nation's repository of information but to condition "the uneducated" to accept "fairy tales and make believe."

The plutocracy that The United States has become prioritizes self-aggrandizement for The Filthy Rich to the near-exclusion of The Common Good, The General Welfare and anything like a genuinely "Social" Contract.

By and large, America's porcine capitalists are "in it" for themselves - with zero interest in n'er-do-wells.

Right-wing conspiracists wish to make an actual contribution would start with the age-old conspiracy of Big Money screwing little guys, simultaneously persuading them that their ongoing degradation is for their own good.

"Pass the K-Y."

Furthermore, the economically-degraded who idolize "the wealthy" for their golden toilet seats (and other puerile displays of wealth) may not believe in evolution but they are being eaten alive by Social Darwinism.

When this round of "supply side economics" crashes and burns making The Great Recession look like a curbside leaf fire, Deplorable Donald and his fellow plutocrats will invent all the fake news they need to explain the startling resemblance between Trump and The Hindenburg.

What follows is the entire Facebook thread of which my comment above is part.
Trump goes after the mainstream press and the little country papers cheer him on. But after he destroys the big urban media who do you think gets it next? The little guys.
it would be better if the media, big and small, left and right, urban and rural, found common cause.

T Lane Dexter Well, Fred, about 95% of our media, including many small country papers that used to be independent, are controlled by the same six families. If you look at who is related to whom, by both marriage and blood, you will see that our media is quite literally in bed with (Leftist) Government. I don't see The Donald going after small local presses. But I do see that we need a lot more of those small local presses.

Alan Archibald The Party of Big Money doesn't even need to be named. Trump will go down in history as the right-wing economic predator (and all-round vulgarian-whoremonger-culural-terrorist) who did away with "the middle man" as a decisive step in the ongoing displac...See MoreManage

Fred Owens I was watching a movie just now on Amazon Prime. Was I forced to do that? Was I following orders when i read the NYTimes? All this time I thought it was my free choice, but you seem to think I am being controlled.
Manage
T Lane Dexter Not in the sense that you are on a leash. But many people will believe something just because a hundred different network talking heads have said it many times, and any opposing viewpoint is unheard or ridiculed. Look at all of the weak minds who actually believe Trump is a racist or homophobe, despite a history to the contrary. Joseph Goebbels knew his business.
Manage
T Lane Dexter They don't have to control 100% of us, just the majority.
Manag
Fred Owens So you think some people have weak minds. Should they be allowed to vote?
Manage
T Lane Dexter That is a very interesting question, Fred. It would be good if voters had to understand the three branches of government, the Constitution, and the reason we have a republic not a democracy. These days, I often think the Movie "Idiocracy" is a documentary. It would be great if voting was limited to those who pay taxes, denied to those supported by the tax dollars of others.

Elaine H. Kolodziej Fred Owens, how do you explain the way "your" side is treating Kenye West for just wanting to ask people to think for themselves??? Why are the liberals trying to control how people think?
Manage
Fred Owens I am not familiar with who he is or what he does, but perhaps Kanye West can fly to North Korea and help Trump negotiate with Kim. Now I have to read up on this at the NYTimes to find how what I am supposed to think....

Fred Owens Elaine, as a comparison, if you were to come out in favor of Hillary Clinton, you would catch a lot of flack from your readers.

Diane Sherman Yeah, go ahead and claim that is from 'leftist media'. Those are facts--actual events-- that could be posted anywhere and still be facts.
