That said, we're up against "The Money Guys" who "run the show" and "make the rules."
The only exception to this standard operating procedure is when "the people's pain" manifests with such intensity that they will endorse a "New Deal."
But then, as we see now, when the "double digit" people (who are pretty damn stupid-and-gullible by nature) "revert to type," they will cheer the plutocrats who tell them they will be better off without medicare and social security.
God, I wish it were otherwise.
However, if Gerald is right -- and the economy will soon run off the rails -- "the people" (led by Elizabeth Warren?) may actually DEMAND a "New Deal."
