(If antipathy toward Trump is not enough to fire up Bernie supporters, I marvel at their "conflicted feelings." It's as if a maniac were in process of attacking one's infant with an axe, and the response is to quibble.)

I know that's s cop out answer, and I'm frankly not a very pro-establishment person. 

But as long as we have the system that we do, I'd rather it be filled with marginally competent non-openly-white-supremacist neoliberal capitalist assholes than literal fascists. 

For example, I think the death toll would be a lot lower during this pandemic had we one or two people who gave a single shit and had any idea what they were doing and actually listened to medical experts rather than condemning them. 

I'm not even thinking in terms of lesser of two evils, but rather, which kind of evil will have the lowest death toll, and that's a horrible position to be in, but I do think that a vaguely competent capitalist regime will cost fewer lives than an fascist one. 

I don't hold it against anyone who doesn't agree, and I have complete respect for leftists who can't bring themselves to vote for him. 

But I'm selfishly too afraid of losing Roe and Obergefell v. Hodges and other SCOTUS rulings that will impact generations to not vote for the person who, at a minimum, won't put people on the bench who are AGAINST my existence as a queer woman, even if they aren't FOR it. ðŸ¤·‍♀️ 

That's my thinking just in terms of the difference. It's not much, but it's enough to keep me personally from not voting. I can see why it wouldn't be, though, and I'm obviously not excited about it."
