P.S. I realize Bernie is not claiming that 3 families own more than half of all U.S. wealth.

He is claiming that 3 families own more wealth than the bottom half of Americans... which is worse.

Extreme wealth inequality is toxic to individuals, to societies, and to Democracy itself.

Although I have consistently supported Joe Biden as the candidate most likely to beat Trump, I remain open to switching support to whichever candidate seems most likely to win next November.

In any event, I am proud that I donated more money to Bernie in 2016 than I did to Hillary whose eventual nomination received my support.

Up to - and including Election Day itself - I pounded the pavement for Hillary, and next year I will pound the pavement for the Democratic Party's eventual nominee whoever s/he may be.

Finally, I will take this opportunity to express my political prime directive. 

I wrote this "mission statement" earlier today in response to a fellow in my "meme creation chat room" who was making the dangerously bogus argument that "there's no difference between Democrats and Republicans."

"Politically, my prime directive is to keep manifestly lunatic people out of office.

In this regard, Democrats are immeasurably more sane than Republicans.

I do not expect progress to occur, and at rare intervals when it does, I consider it unexpected gravy.

Three of my five favorite presidents are Republicans Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower.

Trump is an abomination.

A biblical abomination.

Blessedly, even Evangelicals are starting to come out of their coma.
