His assessment is bleak and I understand that reasonable people may choose to bypass this essay while hoping for the best.
Perhaps it is my own version of Confirmation Bias, but I have "known" since the Vietnam War that something was profoundly wrong with the United States of America and "her" national character. If the long arc of the universe bent toward justice, it seemed to me that the vast, ugly underbelly of the American ruse would be revealed.
After all, there is no statute of limitations on karma.
