Alexander Hamilton Tells Trump The Truth About His Horseshit And The Zealots Who Comprise His Cult

Compas,
In the wake of "Citizens United," I think Chief Justice Roberts is aware that the Supreme Court is just one terrible decision away from cratering confidence in the institution itself.
Surely Roberts is smart enough, sensitive enough and sufficiently knowledgeable to realize that the Republican side of the aisle has become a monstrous amalgam of mendacity, denial, lunatic fabrication, partisan paranoia and solipsistic self-interest at the expense of country and constitution.
We'll see what the Chief Justice chooses to do... if anything.

Conservative Michael Gerson Says "Republicans Aren't Serving President Or Country, Just Themselves"

PS I wonder if Democrats' reluctance to call things by their true names has contributed to Republicans being able to say any goddamn thing and whatever it is -- no matter how bizarre or self-evidently contradictory of Reality itself -- their non-sense convinces 40% of the citizenry that brazen lies are God's Truth.

As counterpoint, how about this tack?

"If President Trump is allowed to state that 'The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese to make American manufacturing non-competitive,' then we get to say (alongside lifelong conservative Michael Gerson) that "When Republicans serve only themselves and not their country, they are treacherous if not traitorous."

One would think such a statement would have the added advantage of being true.

Tragically...
