"If Trump Were A School Teacher"
The public impeachment hearings began today, and so did dust storms of obfuscation. My column explores the impeachment testimony but also considers: What would happen if President Trump were a high school principal who suspended the police chief’s son and then offered to take the boy back if the police department would investigate his ex-wife before an upcoming child custody hearing?

In that situation, all of us, Democrats and Republicans alike, would denounce an egregious abuse of public responsibility. The principal would be fired and subjected to a criminal investigation. So shouldn’t we hold the president of the United States to as high a level as any principal? Do read the column and post your comments.
