Dear Norma,
Thanks for your email.
Sorry your video didn't come through.
If this is the video you had in mind, you can forward the following link: https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=NEpfvTdR5-U
Also, I stumbled on another Father-Daughter music-video which has gotten a lot of internet "hits." https://talentrecap. com/watch-father-daughter- singing-duo-taking-the- internet-by-storm/
This accidentally-discovered song originated in Disney's "Tangled" which is among my top three Disney animated features going back to the very first - "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs" released in 1937. If your grand-kids have not seen "Tangled," I strongly recommend they do. https://www.imdb.com/ title/tt0398286/
Other Disney favorites include "Pinocchio," "Dumbo," "Sleeping Beauty," "Peter Pan," "The Aristocats," "Zootopia" and "Cinderella."
I am a HUGE fan of Disney's "A Christmas Carol" which, in my view, got mediocre reviews because parents took their kids to see a "sweet" Disney rendition of the Dickens classic, and were blown away by the entire emotional and phantasmagorical genius of The Master. Here is my own review of this splendid movie: http://paxonbothhouses. blogspot.com/2011/12/daily- dose-112911-christmas-carol. html
And here is more insight into Dickens and his role as a crucial moralist-social-commentator in the development of the Western world's conscience and consciousness.
Dickens, Scrooge And American Conservatism
Of Pixar's 22 movies, my favorites are "Coco," "Ratatouille," "Up," and (an honorable mention to) "Finding Nemo."
From "Dreamworks Animation," I'm very fond of "How To Train Your Dragon" (the original and the sequel), and the first of the many "Shrek" movies (whose art director was the companion of my friend Sue who spent 8 years as a nun in Mother Theresa's order.)
"Hugo" is a great animated "outlier" directed by Martin Scorsese. https://www.imdb. com/title/tt0970179/
And although it is not an animation, "Enchanted" is another "fairy tale" I really like. https://www. rottentomatoes.com/m/enchanted
If you can access these movies from home, those that your grandchildren have not yet seen may well become their favorites too.
And if you yourself have not yet seen "Coco," consider it a "homework assignment." https://www.imdb. com/title/tt2380307/
As you may recall from one of our Spanish gatherings when I "carried on" about "Coco," this brilliant movie is based on Día de los Muertos' mythos and practice, particularly as those beliefs and customs manifest in Oaxaca.
Muchos saludos a Ricardo!
Paz con ustedes,
Alan
