Antagonism to the so-called “intellectual elites” is largely sour grapes by intellectually indolent people who never undertook the hard work of becoming deeply educated - people whose development was essentially arrested in middle school.

It is beyond the pale that anyone would think education is bad for America, but nearly 60% of Republicans is a mind boggling number.
