  • Alan Archibald I assume the meme-maker presupposed the Christian God of Love so that "treating people like garbage" would make it impossible to truly worship God/Love.
    
    Clearly, by altering definitions, we can posit anything. 
    
    Hitler achieved this shape-shifting goal by positing that "the dirty Jews" were essentially sub-human -- or at least "sub-Aryan" -- so that not only was their elimination possible, their extermination was necessary.

    Trump is a master at "definition-shift" so that, in any given instance (and under aegis of definitions that are always subject to spur of the moment change), SOBMF can argue that "anything is true" because his frirst task -- indeed his life-long work -- has been to degrade the criteria of Truth by normalizing semantic mutability. 
    
    Nothing means anything - except what Trump says it means right now.
    
    And because the Trumpist shit-storm of ever-shifting meaning is so relentless, people have neither time nor energy to do anything but keep their airway clear of excrement. 
    
    Consider the folllowing passage from Denis de Rougemont's 1939 book, "Love In The Western World." 
    
    "There are two ways of lying, as there are two ways of deceiving customers. If the scale registers 15 ounces, you can say: 'It's a pound.' Your lie will remain relative to an invariable measure of the true. If customers check it, they can see that they are being robbed, and you know by how much you are robbing them: a truth remains as a judge between you. But if the demon induces you to tamper with the scale itself, it is the criterion of the true which is denatured, there is no longer any possible control. And little by little you will forget that you are cheating."
    
    Under Trump's nihilistic and esentially destructive regime, the process of denaturing Truth has not been "little by little." 
    
    Rather, Trump achieved his goal of denaturing the criteria of Truth -- and making himself Truth's ultimate arbiter -- bringing every Trumpista lickspittle into alignment with his own solipsistic vacuity.
