Sure. Republicans have been trash-talking President Obama since before he was the official candidate, and they still are.
And the difference between him and Trump is, the trash-talking about Obama was based on insinuations without any proof, while the trash-talking about Trump is simply reporting what he said and did, complete with video of him saying and doing it — no lies, just reporting the facts.
It’s really not a fair comparison. Obama was born with an exceptionally fortunate genetic combination—intelligence, a positive and charismatic personality, integrity, and a natural ability to spread these characteristics among those who work with him.
Trump, for all the wealth that fell into his lap during his youth, and all the unearned opportunities that have made his life easy since then, was born the “less fortunate” of the two men. He never had an inclination to do things right, to pay his workers as promised, to be faithful to a woman who deserved his devotion, or to lead a nation for the sake of the people he committed to prosper and thrive.
Instead, he has deviously cleaned out their coffers (as well as borrowing from an enemy nation) to spread billions among himself and his wealthy and corrupt friends, whose awareness of the needs of the citizens goes only as far as a cold and dismissive indifference.
What we have, however medieval it may sound, is the difference between a man congenitally inclined to decency and goodness, and a man who, perhaps through neglect of his emotional needs as a child, has become warped in his sense of right and wrong. He is a stranger to empathy, and compassion, and with a conscience that became warped when, during his youth, he saw that he could take things from others by employing dishonest manipulation.
As compassionate human beings, we can pity the emotionally-deprived child who never grew into a normal, healthy man but remained a selfish, manipulative, spoiled little brat. As the citizens of an endangered nation, however, we cannot absolve him of his responsibilities to us, of wise leadership and honest guardianship of our resources for OUR sakes, for the sake of a nation that he should be required to leave in at least as good and wealthy a condition as he found it.
Integrity, honour and respect just oozes out of that man. It is amplified even more by the stark contrast to Trumps deplorable character. But then again Trump makes Putin look honourable
It just “oozes”?
Hmmm…Sounds kinda gross?
But I guess sending the IRS after your political opponents is a great way to demonstrate honor and integrity. Yep. That'll just make your goodness, your wholesomeness, your integrity and honor, not only ooze, but drip.
You’ve got it wrong David. Remember the IRS Scandal? It was fake news all along
Obama is a man of remarkable integrity. Trump is in fact deplorable.
