In Praise Of Idleness: Bertrand Russell On The Relationship Between Leisure And Social Justice

The word "school" derives from the Greek "schole" meaning "leisure." https://www.etymonline.com/word/school

Humankind's most persistent monstrosity is the deliberate prevention of widespread education.

The moneyed classes brutalize workers by subjecting them to unrelenting toil.

They do this for the targeted purpose (or at least the "certain outcome") of ensuring that der volk do not become educated.

Simply put, everyday people haven't the leisure to become educated.

In the "developed world" this ongoing assault-and-battery is only true in "No Vacation Nation" which is why our politics are so quintessentially dumbf___.

Imagine any other (purportedly respectable) polity "shutting down government."

Jesus Christ -- and I use the Lord's name prayerfully -- save us from self-inflicted idiocy!
