Here Is How I Have Made Peace With The Possibility Of Bernie's Candidacy

Dear F,

I still have my "finger in the wind" to see which way the "political gods" are blowing.

However, yesterday I made peace with Bernie's possible candidacy because -- as horrible as Trump's re-election would be -- I see: 
1.) the possibility that Bernie could actually win in November (especially if the stock market experiences sustained decline) and: 
2.) if a stock market plunge does NOT occur before the election, there will be a doozy of a recession soon after. 

If Trump is re-elected, and The Doozy happens on his watch -- rather than during a Democratic administration -- Trump-cultists (visceral, unthinking, cerebrally-challenged folk that they are) will not only "turn on" Malignant Messiah, there will be nothing left of The Republican Party in "His Toxicity's" wake.

Furthermore, even if Trump is not impeached during his second term (or ousted by invocation of the 25th Amendment), Democrats will win The Oval Office in 2024 in addition to controlling both houses.
