Alan: NPR's morning talk show "1A" invited representatives of Fox News and the Trump administration to participate in today's show but  neither organization sent a spokesperson.

Since Joshua Johnson is an unusually accommodating host, committed to making every participant feel "at home," I assume Fox and Trump knew that their respective "realities" -- informed by "fake news," "alternative facts," brittle ideological bias and whole-cloth lies -- would not withstand the light of day.

 American conservatives' "world view" will crash-and-burn if they do not continually fabricate whatever Frankensteinian narrative is needed to shore up their Tower of Babel.

 Trumpistas depend on The Prince of Darkness as completely as Trump depends on benighted mad men suckered by bluster, bombast, bigotry and solipsism.
