Frog Hospital Discussion: More Than 90% Of Trump Supporters Cheered The War He Opposed

Alan: I would venture that more than 90% of Trump's supporters cheered The Iraq War and would have been furious with any "traitor" who opposed that "God-blessed crusade."

Spot-On Truth-Teller Donald Trump: The Most Important Thing Said At The Republican Debate

Dear Fred,

Thanks for your email.

As Kathleen Parker points out, it is plausible (if not likely) that Trump's support is under-reported. (from her column in the washington post)

Do keep in mind that Parker is referring only to Republican polling and even if Trump has more support among white people whose most notable characteristic is their eagerness to lie to anyone (even themselves), we are still talking less than a third of the electorate.

Concerning Trump's comment that Hillary "got schlonged by Obama in 2008..."

I was raised in upstate New York where schlong meant a penis.

Only a penis.

There was not a pubic hair's worth of any other semantic.

Although Trump has been formally exonerated by the ambiguity of the original Yiddish, I venture he intended to capitalize on the doble entendre

Personally, I hope Donald gets the nomination, mostly because I think he would be the easiest Republican for Hillary-Julian to beat but also for two other reasons - both of them relating to Trump's theoretical victory in the national election.

In its decadence, the United States is primarily "exceptional" for its unrelenting determination to whoop somebody's ass.

Iraq demonstrated that it did not matter -- at all!  -- whom Uncle Sam designated "enemy" so long as Americans could beat shit out of somebody - preferably dark skinned people "over there, far away."

"Bush's Toxic Legacy In Iraq"

Equal opportunity ass-whoopers that we are, America keeps its homegrown "darkies" as whipping boys - trotting them out at intervals to keep the crackers in top form.

"The Deadly Oppression Of Black People: Best Pax Posts"

Like Ramsey Clark, I believe the greatest post-war crime against humanity has been American foreign policy.

I would prefer a more merciful outcome than "reaping what we sow." But Trump would be a perfect executor of the stern justice American conservatives think they want, even though it would be they -- at long last -- on the receiving end of the whirlwind they've wrought.

In contrast to America's largely unacknowledged losses in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan, Trump has the ability to propel such a flaming, crash-and-burn loss that the American torch would pass to China faster than you can say "Ho! Ho! Ho! (Chi Minh)."

On the other hand, I think -- and I must emphasize that this is highly speculative -- that Trump is a libertine at heart and holds little brief with the conservatives Donald is currently courting.

That scenario is trumped by my belief that were Trump elected, he would behave less "conservatively" than the other clowns with the arguable exceptions of Kasich, Bush and Rand Paul, all of whom remain in the race by technicality only.

My "background" analysis is that Paul Ryan will emerge as a dark horse at the Republican National Convention, "a consummation so devoutly to be wished" that I imagine the GOP old guard rehearsed it to win Ryan's acceptance of the House Spearkership.

The big question is whether ISIS (or Al Qaeda) -- either directly or through self-identified sympathizers -- perpetrates a U.S. terror attack (or two) in October, 2016.

Then, the GOP "wins" and jihadis' wettest dream comes true - a ground war with American troops... with even worse outcome than the last time we went down that road.

As a people we are so degenerately stuporous that we can't even accept truth when our enemies do us the favor of revealing their battle plan.

Alan, i was waiting for someone to say this -- from her column in the washington post
She reports that trump's support is under-reported -- that college white guys won't admit that they like him  -- this is quite credible.
I thought bringing Yiddish insult into the conversation was a fine move on trump's part -- Yiddish, above all tongues, is the most creative with insults, it is quite rich in verbal abuse, and a boy like donald, growing up in Queens would know every word, down to the smallest fart.
Myself, I have rarely heard the term schlong. My friend Fitz Higgins used to say schlong when we were in high school and the reason I remember this is because the word was so foreign to me.
For left wing vulgarity, check out any video of Amy Schumer, she is lauded by the gliterati and she is abundantly obscene.
i have said that you can't shut up donald trump unless you shut up amy Schumer -- nasty begets nasty begets nastier and nastier. Schumer is encouraged to let it all hang out, and then trump says well so will I.
we're in for a lot of toilet talk in 2016, which might prove purgative and beneficial
