Proof: The Obamas are ignorant twits

Conservative Strategy:
Turn the Truth Around: 180 degrees.
http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/barackobama/ss/obamas_left_handed_flag_salute.htm

Dear George,

Thanks for your emails.

Like others you've sent, its content is false. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/stance.asp

Completely false.

Not even partly right.

No smidgeon of Truth. Not even an eensy, weensy, teensy bit: sheer shit slinging because feces is the only weapon at hand.

These are brazen, bald-faced lies to warm Satan's heart - to make The Prince of Darkness breathe deep and smile wide.

Consider this passage from the Book of Proverbs:

"There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers." Proverbs 6:16–19

Note that God's hatred is not directed against carnal sins: in fact, there is no mention of sex just as there is no biblical mention of abortion, either in the Old Testament or New.

However, on the short list of things that God does hate are two references to falsehood and one to sowing discord.

I rather imagine God getting particularly pissed when liars use complete falsehood - falsehood 180 degrees removed from Truth - to sow discord.

Have American conservatives never read the 9th Commandment? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_shall_not_bear_false_witness_against_your_neighbor

Despite all the red button chatter over sex, gender and reproductive issues, The Republican Party - at bottom - lives to lie, thrives on lies.

Egregious falsehood is the GOP’s daily bread – a situation reminiscent of “black masses” in which "falsehood du jour" is consecrated daily, followed by breaking the disinformational bread and finally sharing it with other True Believers (in the ever proliferating email chain).

And so falsehood is nourished and propagated, in full knowledge that bells cannot be un-rung, eggs cannot be un-broken.

Not one Republican – not even when made aware of the falsehood they have trumpeted – "blows the whistle."

No one recants.

No one sets the record straight.

American “conservatives” want to be lied to. They crave self-deception as zealously as they deceive.

Make no mistake. It is not my purpose to impugn principles nor condemn the use of spin.

I admit the political inevitability of putting the best possible face on facts and have no beef with anything remotely true.

Rather, I am talking about “matters of fact" - cut-and-dried declarations that can neither be denied nor argued.

Things like...

2 plus 2 equals 5.

"Obama refused to recite the pledge of allegiance."

Obama wants to “swap the national anthem... for something like “I want to teach the world to sing.”

"Michelle and I have attended several flag-burning ceremonies."

Or mundane declarations like: "The following is a narrative taken from "Meet the Press," Sunday, 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST."

Nor is it my present purpose to deny wildly eccentric views like “Obama is the Anti-Christ,” or “Obama wants the terrorists to win,” or “Obama wants to take away Americans’ right to own guns,” or “Obama wants to surrender the United States to a one world government.” http://www.harrisinteractive.com/NewsRoom/HarrisPolls/tabid/447/ctl/ReadCustom%20Default/mid/1508/ArticleId/223/Default.aspx

For the sake of argument, let’s even admit that Obama's purported birth in Kenya cannot be disproven.

Although such allegations are half-baked and fully lame-brained, there is no way to disprove them.

They are not simple "matters of fact" that lend themselves to demonstrable proof.

Truth be told, anyone’s birth certificate may have been falsified.

Just like his father George, Mitt Romney could have been born in Mexico.

Similarly, Mitt could be a polygamist just like his great grandfather.

Nor is there any way to disprove the lunatic claim that Bush let bin Laden escape Tora Bora due to his family’s friendship with Saudi oil magnates; or that Bush was in league with theocratic restorationists; or that Bush tried to surrender fossil fuel policy-making to coal and oil industry executives.

The Republican Party exuberates in factual falsehood because future political victory depends on it.

The GOP has sold its soul to Know Nothing extremists and cannot cancel the contract.

Without a steady stream of outrageous falsehood to lather the self-lobotomized Base, the GOP has no hope of winning presidential election as far as eye can see.

By positing ongoing Republican defeat, we see that in addition to sustained control of The Oval Office, the Supreme Court will soon be packed with 9 liberal judges, perhaps even a sprinkling of radicals; people who would welcome Bush and Cheney's trial for war crimes; people who might insure that everyone responsible for Wall Street's recent collapse be given the longest possible prison sentences; that the Supremes' Citizens United Ruling be ridiculed for its shameful postulation that "corporations are people" and its everlasting guarantee that money speak with a louder voice than living, breathing citizens.

Bill Moyers put it well: "I'll believe corporations are people when Texas executes one."

As impossible as it would have seemed in my childhood, Truth itself has become an existential threat to The Republican Party.

And so the GOP has no choice: it must lie to survive as a viable force.

American Democracy is resilient. It can withstand a great many shocks. It can resist onslaughts of corruption.

It cannot survive is the relentless torrent of falsehood that has become the Republican Party's daily bread.

I doubt there is a Republican who will take this warning to heart even if intellectually convinced. "The Republican philosophy might be summarized thus: To hell with principle; what matters is power, and that we have it, and that they do not.” "Where the Right Went Wrong" by at Buchanan, the living American who has spent most time inside the White House as a staff counsellor: - http://www.amazon.com/Where-Right-Went-Wrong-Neoconservatives/dp/0312341156

As Denis de Rougement observed: "
There are two ways of lying, as there are two ways of deceiving customers. If the scale registers 15 ounces, you can say: "It's a pound." Your lie will remain relative to an invariable measure of the true. If customers check it, they can see that they are being robbed, and you know by how much you are robbing them: a truth remains as a judge between you. But if the demon induces you to tamper with the scale itself, it is the criterion of the true which is denatured, there is no longer any possible control. And little by little you will forget that you are cheating." Denis de Rougemont

Contemporary Republicans will dismiss de Rougement if - for no other reason - than he has committed the unforgivable sin of speaking French.

Yes.

It has come to this.

American conservatives have lied with such tenacity - and over such a long period of time - that they have lost the ability to distinguish between Truth and fiction.

Pax on both houses

Alan

And Americans elected this lunatic as our President??? God help us!!!
forward this as received, but without comment.
DO NOT ADD A SINGLE WORD (Alan here... Are we to believe that "adding a single word" would detract from the oratorical refinement of these allegations?)
Yes, he told us in advance what he planned to do. Few were listening.
The following is a narrative taken from a 2008 Sunday morning televised "Meet The Press'.
From Sunday's 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, Televised "Meet the Press" THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.
General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.
The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171...
During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, "Stand and Face It".
NOW GET THIS !!
'Senator'Obama replied:
"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides". "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression.." "The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."
(ARE YOU READY FOR THIS???)
Obama continued: "The National Anthem should be 'swapped' for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing'. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as 'redesign' our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of waring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails - - - perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ......."
When I become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past".
"Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put my hatred aside. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path..My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First black Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America "
WHAAAAAAAT, the Hell is that???
Yes, you read it right.
I, for one, am speechless!!!

EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA NEEDS
TO READ THIS, KEEP IT GOING ! !

I have long marveled that the Republican Party's vestigial "old guard" does not publicly lament the intellectual debasement, and consequent defilement, of a once dignified party. The Party of Lincoln. The Party of Teddy Roosevelt. The Party of Eisenhower.

Pat Buchanan -- the living American who has spent most time inside the Oval Office as a presidential consultant - provides this analysis: "The Republican philosophy might be summarized thus: To hell with principle; what matters is power, and that we have it, and that they do not.” "Where the Right Went Wrong" - http://www.amazon.com/Where-Right-Went-Wrong-Neoconservatives/dp/0312341156

To hell with principle. To hell with Reason. To hell with intellectual rigor. To hell with any regard for Truth.
