Republican Political Consultant Reacts To Trump On Khizr Khan

To Expose Our Children To Donald Trump Is Not Just Child Abuse, But Egregious Child Abuse

Despicable Donald Impugns Father And Mother Of U.S. Muslim War Hero Killed In Iraq

Matt Mackowiak is a very conservative Republican.
From his twitter page:

Conservative, comms guy, campaign vet, run @potomacstrategy@potomacflacks &@MustReadTexas, Steelers/Pens/Horns fan, lucky husband, our dogs live well
Austin, TX
He put up an 11- part twitter storm in response to what Donald Trump said to George Stephanopoulos when questioned about the remarks of Khizr Khan.  This IS a must read, so I reproduce it in its entirety:

Tweetstorm on Trump/Khan:
1/ This should be unnecessary to say, but in public life, any criticism from gold star families is legitimate and deserves to be heard.

1/ This should be unnecessary to say, but in public life, any criticism from gold star families is legitimate and deserves to be heard.
2/ The religion of the gold star family is irrelevant. Their gave the last full measure of patriotism to us. A debt that can't be repaid.

Tweetstorm on Trump/Khan:
3/ Whether the mother spoke at the DNC Convention is irrelevant. Maybe she was nervous. Maybe the husband spoke for both of them. Who cares.

Tweetstorm on Trump/Khan:
4/ There is only one response for Trump to the criticism: "As an American, I deeply appreciate the patriotic sacrifice of the Khan family."

Tweetstorm on Trump/Khan:
5/ The urge to "hit back" at every critic must stop somewhere. If not Gold Star families, then where? Orphans? Priests? Lepers?

Tweetstorm on Trump/Khan:
6/ The urge to spew an anti-Muslim dog whistle at the Khan family is vile. Subhuman. Evil. It was meant to invalidate the criticism.

Tweetstorm on Trump/Khan:
7/ What if the wife spoke & not the husband? Would that have mattered to Trump? It doesn't matter which parent spoke. It was from the family

Tweetstorm on Trump/Khan:
8/ Trump must win every interaction & have last word. Incapable of being generous, magnanimous, humble. Explains why he's on 3rd marriage.

Tweetstorm on Trump/Khan:
9/ This latest crisis is an existential threat to Trump. Is staff going to stand by him? Why would he make Khan story bigger? It's insane.

Tweetstorm on Trump/Khan:
10/ Trump is proving that Hillary's criticism of his temperament has merit. He can't even pretend when lashing out was predicted. Took bait.

Tweetstorm on Trump/Khan:
11/ I'm as conservative as anyone. I care about SCOTUS, destroying ISIS, tax reform, spending. But this is a question of character.
He later added this tweet, not part of tweet storm:

Simple test for anyone's interaction w/ a Gold Star family: Did you ease their pain? Did you convey our gratitude? If not, you failed.
