The best is enemy of the good.
The profoundest truths are paradoxical.
I understand frustration with the status quo. I understand the need to lash out at being marginalized. When you combine those emotions with propensities toward ignorance and the seductive feeling of belonging to a mob of fellow sufferers, you get a Trump voter base. You can't reason with them. You can only make darn sure that you can out number them.A Trump presidency would certainly change the way the rest of the world views the USA. Many people would suffer. Much as I would have liked to have been able to continue support for Bernie Sanders as a candidate for president, this time around, we have a less idealistic choice to make. When we go into the voting booth in November, our rational must be to prevent, even at the cost of our ideological wishes, a Trump victory.
