  1. I understand frustration with the status quo. I understand the need to lash out at being marginalized. When you combine those emotions with propensities toward ignorance and the seductive feeling of belonging to a mob of fellow sufferers, you get a Trump voter base. You can't reason with them. You can only make darn sure that you can out number them.
    A Trump presidency would certainly change the way the rest of the world views the USA. Many people would suffer.
    Much as I would have liked to have been able to continue support for Bernie Sanders as a candidate for president, this time around, we have a less idealistic choice to make. When we go into the voting booth in November, our rational must be to prevent, even at the cost of our ideological wishes, a Trump victory.
