Alan: I marvel that murderous behavior by American corporations no longer triggers misgiving - and certainly no demand that flesh-and-blood corporate officials be held responsible by criminal law.
Instead, the dark-side assumption is that corporations should only be fined for evildoing, fines that have been pre-budgeted as "the cost of doing business.
Adding insult to injury these "costs" are then passed along to consumers.
