Pope Swarmed By Cloistered Nuns In Naples

A dozen nuns rush Pope Francis during his weekend visit to Naples. Some of the sisters tried to kiss the startled pontiff’s hands.

This makes a lot of nun-sense.
Pope Francis got mobbed by a bevy of black-clad nuns on a weekend trip to Naples.
“And these are the cloistered ones. Just imagine the noncloistered ones,” quipped Crescenzio Cardinal Sepe, as he watched the star-struck sisters swarming the pontiff on his visit Saturday to the Naples Cathedral.
The Pope seemed bemused by the attention from the dozen nuns, one of whom presented him with a gift.
“They’re going to eat him! Sister! Sister!” Sepe joked.
Francis smiled as his staff and security tried to restrain the nuns as they clamored to kiss his hands.
Before leaving the cathedral, the Pope kissed a silver vial containing the dried blood of Januarius, the patron saint of Naples.
On his one-day visit to Italy’s third-largest municipality, Francis also toured one of the city’s poorest neighborhoods, drawing thousands of Neapolitans hoping for just a glimpse of him.
