Europe's Depression Is Worse Than The 1930s

Alan: Since much industrial (and post-industrial) production is now automated, there is less need for active workers in modern economies. In those nations that re-distribute a significant portion of this automatically-generated wealth, the fear of long term recession/depression is nowhere near as important as in the United States where most citizens - conditioned to accept unbridled plutocracy - applaud efforts by putative "Job Creators" to sequester ever more of "the national patrimony."
