About 100 Million Americans Now Use Credit Unions. Better Than Commercial Banks

What "goes in" comes out as member benefit.
"Socialism" works.
Credit Unions prove it.

Alan: Fact: "Credit unions" offer better service (at lower cost) than commercial banks. Furthermore, the former are never "too big to fail,” while the latter are increasingly so. Recently I asked an executive at my Credit Union (State Employees Credit Union, NC) why "all" consumers do not replace their commercial bank accounts with credit union accounts. She said: “It's because the law prohibits credit unions from providing business banking services and many people need business checking accounts.” This answer begs the following question: "Why is American Banking regulated so that those banks that do a demonstrably inferior job are protected from competition by banks (i.e,. credit unions) that provide demonstrably superior, more user-friendly service?”

The Corporate ‘Predator State.’ ("Cowboy Capitalism" Is Its Own Worst Enemy.)

Credit Unions are "socialist" cooperatives.
It is not only notable - it is epochal - that these "socialist" endeavors provide immeasurably better banking services than hard-core capitalist banks which brought us "The Great Recession" and "The Great Depression."

A cursory comparison of Credit Unions with Commercial Banks reveals that Commercial Banks survive by "the legalization of profiteering" at customer expense.
Level the playing field.
Enable credit unions to compete with commercial banks in every way.
Whenever "leveled" playing fields benefit Cowboy Capitalists, they call it "Free Trade."
When they don't, the Cowboys do everything possible to perpetuate their lopsided advantage.
