Time For Catholicism To "Shelve" All Traditions & Texts That Represent God As A Terrorist

Alan: It is time to for Catholicism to "shelve" all traditions and texts that represent God as Consummate Terrorist; creator, owner and manager of an Everlasting Lake of Unquenchable Fire.
When Capitalism "won out" as Christendom's dominant economic system, "usury" was similarly shelved for Capitalism cannot exist without usury.
Even The Vatican knows which side its bread is buttered on.
This is not necessarily a bad thing.

The last Inquisitorial execution took place in Spain on July 26 1826 -"the execution of the school teacher, Cayetano Ripoll, for the teaching of Deism in his school."

Note: America's Founding Fathers were more strongly influenced by Deism than any other system of religious thought.

Tomás de TorquemadaO.P. (1420 – September 16, 1498) was a Spanish Dominican friar and the first Grand Inquisitor in Spain's movement to restore Christianity among its populace in the late 15th century. He was one of the chief supporters of the Alhambra Decree, which expelled the Jews from Spain in 1492. Torquemada's manual of instructions to the Inquisition (Copilación de las Instruciónes del Offico de la Sancta Inquisición) did not appear in print publicly until 1576, when it was published in Madrid.

We might wisely begin the elimination of terrorist ideology from Catholic practice by no longer prioritizing Abraham's willingness to kill his son as proof of his "virtuous" obedience to God.

In the Spanish language account of Isaac's intended holocaust,
Abraham prepares to to degollar Isaac.
Degollar means to "slit one's throat."
"Psst, Abraham. Yaweh here. Prove that you love me. Slit your son's throat."

Get parents to kill their kids "for God sake's" and you can get them to anything.

After Easter mass one year, my mother -- an extremely devout Catholic --
said, "I don't believe God would ask Abraham to kill his son."

Go Mom!
