The Bereaved Muslim Mother Whom Despicable Donald Dissed Breaks Her Silence On Trump

Despicable Donald Impugns Father And Mother Of U.S. Muslim War Hero Killed In Iraq

The Mother of the Muslim Solider Breaks Her Silence on Trump

Donald Trump questioned why the Muslim-American mother of a fallen U.S. soldier stood silently by her husband during his moving speech at last week's Democratic National Convention, intimating that there was some kind of religious prohibition at work.
But the mother, Ghazala Khan, would have none of it and forcefully responded to Trump in an op-ed in The Washington Post on Sunday.
Trump mocked Ghazala Khan after her husband, Khizr Khan, spoke at the DNC about his fallen son, U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan. Khizr Khan accused Trump of not having sacrificed anything.
In his response, Trump said Ghazala Khan had "nothing to say" or perhaps "wasn't allowed to have anything to say" and called on her to break her silence.
She did, with an emotional response on Sunday.

"Here is my answer to Donald Trump: Because without saying a thing, all the world, all America, felt my pain," Ghizala Khan said, describing her son as always dependable and happy.

Ghazala Khan described the pain of losing a child:
"Every day, whenever I pray, I have to pray for him, and I cry."
Ghazala Khan challenged Trump about his own experience as a father. She said she could hardly control her emotions at the DNC: "What mother could? Donald Trump has children whom he loves. Does he really need to wonder why I did not speak?"
