Romney States Libya "Case" Exactly Backwards From Truth

Dear Fred,

Thanks for your email.

Romney fabricated the "apology story" claiming the "apology" was issued AFTER the attack.

The "apology" was, in fact, issued before the attack.

FactCheck.org: "Romney Gets It Backwards" -  http://factcheck.org/2012/09/romney-gets-it-backward/

Excerpt: "Mitt Romney claims the Obama administration issued an “apology for American values” after U.S. embassies were attacked. Not true. Romney refers to a statement issued before mobs attacked either in Egypt or Libya, and faults U.S. diplomats for failing to condemn actions that hadn’t yet happened. Furthermore, the word “sorry” or “apologize” doesn’t appear in the statement. Under the headline, “U.S. Embassy Condemns Religious Incitement,” the embassy in Cairo said, “Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy.” Romney has falsely accused Obama of “apologizing for America” many times before. The line has been a dependable applause-getter with conservative audiences. But we found no basis for this claim in Obama’s previous speeches and remarks. And other fact-checkers came to similar conclusions."
Everybody "spins."
Notably Bill Clinton's DNC speech was almost completely approved by Fact Checkers, whereas Ryan's address hit a high water mark for mendacity.
Romney's campaign insists -- with brazen candor -- "“Fact checkers come to this with their own sets of thoughts and beliefs, and we’re not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact checkers.” http://www.inquisitr.com/315140/romney-campaign-says-fact-checkers-wont-rule-the-debate/ (Yes, they happen to believe in Truth; Republicans - at least since Bush - have held "the reality-based community" in contempthttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reality-based_community)
Like the Republican Base, the Romney-Ryan "ticket" endangers Truth at the root level of epistemology.
Since I believe God is fundamentally Truth, I conclude that the R&R ticket is openly satanic.
Yes, they are hansome.
And "presidential."
Sometimes, even heartwarming.
Almost always "ingratiating."
But at bottom, they are in league with The Prince of Darkness - realizing full-well that their political future depends on hiding the Truth whenever they're not flying in the face of it.

It may turn out well in Libya -- that these extreme people might be only a remnant of the old regime.

It may be that our ambassador was a bit of a freelance and paid the price for his adventure.

I think Romney's remarks were good, however. We shouldn't apologize or condemn our own bozos, not in the context of an angry mob.

Islam just can't seem to take a joke -- a priest, a rabbi, and a mullah walked into a bar --

some day they will let tourists visit Mecca

Dear Fred,

Thanks for your email.

Recently I posted: "The last time Christians had any balls they believed in martyrdom." http://paxonbothhouses.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-last-time-christians-had-balls-they.html

Jesus ignored "warnings of danger."

Ans I don't blame him.

"You" do not win hearts and minds by ensconcing yourself in The Green Zone.

If I had to guess, I would venture that Iraq goes to shit before Libya does.

Notably, radical Islamists made a very poor showing in recent Libyan elections and this "current event" impresses me as a strategic attempt by a strictly delimited minority to inflame extreme feeling.

Not only will Libyans resist, I think Obama will now have "reason" to collaborate more closely with the Libyan government to suppress "the assholes."

Speaking of which...

Just this morning, my general friend -- commenting on the Middle East -- said "Romney will not be president" -- the first time he has made a decisive statement on the upcoming election.

Evidence that the ambassador himself ignored warnings of danger, and failed to realize that in his role as ambassador he is always  a target  -- so we should blame him.

Fear that respect for religion will be enforced. Bill Maher better watch what he says.

I better watch what I say else people will hurt me.

On the other hand, if people insult me, I have a right to assault them.
