American conservatives champion firearms and militias because their "inner rage" prepares them -- always and everywhere -- to kill people.
Conservatives -- particularly "Good Christians" -- are reflexively certain that violence is the final solution. (Where have we heard that before?)
When push comes to shove, American conservatives believe that non-violent solutions are stupid fantasies.
