Hannah Arendt: Correspondence With My Brother

"How President Trump Could Seize More Power After A Terror Attack"
The New Yorker

Dear Kevin,

Thanks!

Hannah Arendt is brilliant! https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Hannah_Arendt

I will blog the quote you sent:

Here's a collection of quotations from her 1951 book, "The Origins Of Totalitarianism." https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Hannah_Arendt#The_Origins_of_Totalitarianism_.281951.29

Although she was Jewish, Arendt chose Saint Augustine as the focus of her doctoral thesis: "On the concept of love in the thought of Saint Augustine: Attempt at a philosophical interpretation."

Here an interesting brief review of her thesis from Notre Dame Press. https://curate.nd.edu/show/q524jm23h81

Things are going reasonably well here in Hillsborough although ever since the House passed Abomicare, I have difficulty even thinking about Republicans without the word "evil" coming to mind.
