Former New Hampshire Republican Senator Gordon Humphrey does not like Donald Trump. At all.
"I am ever more confirmed in my belief that Trump is a sociopath, without a conscience or feelings of guilt, shame or remorse. And he is pathologically insecure, recklessly attacking anyone who does not confirm him as the best there is," Humphrey said in an email to NBC News.
"To imagine Trump in charge of our armed forces at a moment of crisis is frightening," added Humphrey, who represented the swing state of New Hampshire in the Senate from 1979 to 1990.
Humphrey says he will only vote for Hillary Clinton if the race is tight enough. Deep down inside he says he is still hoping that the rest of the Republican leadership will find what’s left of their dignity and bravery and renounce Donald Trump’s nomination. But, he’s talking about the Republican Party here. The entry fee these days is a lot of cowardice with a lack of dignity.
