Dear Laura,
The Thinking Housewife's political philosophy is migrating ever leftward.
Your sustained attacks on Capitalism; your critique of the creation-and-movement of "Big Money;" your recent citation of Democratic presidential candidate General Wesley Clark; your frequent denunciation of Uncle Sam's swashbuckling; and your condemnation of the bogus "War on Terror" are all laudable.
After all, the cornerstone of left-wing thought squares neatly with the following observation by Jimmy Carter's Attorney General, Ramsey Clark:
At bedrock, you are beginning to see the central role played by "capital" and the devastating effects of "capital" on every component of national (and international) culture, including family and religion.
"Follow the Money" has always been the battle cry of liberal-left-progressive- radical activists and you are getting exceptionally good at "staying on that message."
A great deal of your left-wing thought is reprised in my a.m. post:
"Scare The Sheep And They Will Applaud Military-Industrial Profiteering"
I also think you would be wise to avoid conspiracy thinking, a bottomless swamp of irresolvable speculation no matter how "provable" you consider the orchestration of a particular "deception" or "false flag attack."
For better or worse, persistent conspiratorial thinking earns the label "crackpot."
It is an inconvenient truth that "true believers will believe what they want to believe" and that "opposing sides" will never reach definitive resolution.
Consider:
Intelligent people still believe John Kennedy is on "life support" in the White House basement and that lunar landings were filmed in underground studios outside Salt Lake.
Ideological Obligation is a massive, overarching beast.
In its shadow I imagine you're currently torn between declaring the San Bernardino carnage just another ruse by Homeland Security whose "real purpose" is to bring about "second amendment abolition..." while on the other hand you must also be tempted to decry Farook's mass murder as an egregious act of Islamic terrorism - a tactical approach that will only stoke Uncle Sam's ersatz War on Terror, simultaneously accelerating 2nd amendment abolition and advancing The New World Order.
"Readily Available Firearms Aid And Abet Terrorism"
What to do?
It is true that you can achieve a desirable end by using the slaughter in San Bernardino to fan the flames of Islamophobic hysteria but by so doing also focus "the electorate" on the sordid fact that conservatives would rather supply American-based terrorists with "off the shelf" weaponry than risk losing elections?
...
Overall, I am deeply grateful for your keen insight into the workings of ultra-conservative absolutism.
Your steady supply of incalculably valuable gifts is a tremendous boon.
Chesterton said (and I paraphrase): 'The best way to get published is to write an article for "Trout Fishing In England" and a second article for "Scottish Plaids," then put each in the envelop addressed to the other.'
I realize that ideological constraint prevents you from posting "Readily Available Firearms Aid And Abet Terrorism" but I encourage you to post my link, "Scare The Sheep And They Will Applaud Military-Industrial Profiteering."
"Scare The Sheep And They Will Applaud Military-Industrial Profiteering"
Not only does "Scare The Sheep" supply a wealth of useful information to your readers, its content is quite consistent with your own views.
If only for one devil-may-care moment, think of yourself as the editor of "Trout Fishing In England."
Pax tecum
Alan
