Stephen Colbert Interviews Senator Elizabeth Warren

U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., appeared on Comedy Central's Colbert Report on Monday, May 19, 2014. She sparred with Colbert over her view of the misdeeds that led to the collapse of the housing market and denied that she is planning a presidential run. (Screenshot taken from Comedy Central video)
In her first appearance on Comedy Central's Colbert Report in more than four years, U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., sparred with host Stephen Colbert Monday in an interviewed that spanned topics ranging from the financial collapse to the calls for her to run for president in 2016.

In discussing her outrage over the fact that there have been no prosecutions regarding the financial dealings that led to the collapse of the housing market and brought on the worst recession since the Great Depression, Colbert humorously replied, "What you call breaking the law, I call pushing the envelope."
Near the end of the interview, which spanned nearly ten minutes, Colbert pushed Warren on the rumors about her running for president in 2016, an assertion she's repeatedly denied.

"The obvious question is are you running for president?" Colbert asked.

Warren responded, "No, I'm not running for president."

Colbert jabbed back "Right now you're not running. It's a long time between now and 2016."
Warren, who won her U.S. Senate seat in 2012, was on the show promoting her new book "A Fighting Chance."

The back-and-forth was entertaining, politics aside, and can be seen in its entirety -- courtesy of Comedy Central -- http://www.masslive.com/politics/index.ssf/2014/05/video_sen_elizabeth_warren_tal.html
