When you add up the tax revenue that states send to the federal government and compare it with the "tax dollars" they receive in return, a markedly disproportionate number of "red states" get back hugely greater sums than they pay in. 

Maybe it's The Bible Belt's lousy educational systems that prevent American "conservatives" from recognizing their towering hypocrisy. 

In any event, it is as "plain as potatoes" that traditionally Republican states -- constantly trumpeting anti-welfare ideology -- are themselves the greatest welfare moochers. 

A truth more inconvenient than the reality of anthropogenic global warming is that Republicans comprise the lion's share of Mitt Romney's "47%."
