Greetings,
For those of you with TV, I just came upon an article entitled "The Best TV Show You're Not Watching." Over 18000 users give it a cumulative IMDb rating of 8.5. http://www.freep.com/story/entertainment/movies/julie-hinds/2015/10/10/the-knick-cinemax-tv-series-cable-clive-owen-steven-soderbergh/73659936/
In a much more fanciful way, "The Best TV Show You're Not Watching" recalls the great 3 hour PBS American Experience documentary, "The Poisoner's Handbook" which I strongly recommend.
If you're disappointed -- and I can't imagine you will be -- I promise your money back.

Yesterday, I saw "The Martian" starring Matt Damon. Although not as good as I hoped it is a rollicking good tale that will not fail to entertain. Now that we have a contemporary "Space Trilogy" I (and friend Chuck) agree that "Interstellar" comes in ahead of "Gravity," followed by fairly distant third place winner, "The Martian." "Interstellar" is a movie Chuck and I thought should have won 2015's "Best Movie Oscar" as just one gem in a multiply studded crown. In the end "Interstellar" was awarded but one Oscar.... for Best Visual Effects. At minimum, it "should" have won Best Movie, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Musical Score (by the brilliant Hans Zimmer). I venture that two actresses deserved consideration for "Best Supporting Actress."
Here are two blog posts concerning "Interstellar" followed by an informative article about the movie's scant Oscar nominations.

PS To the extent that "The Martian" has a musical score, it is --- ouch! --- disco music. Funny the first time... maybe... Then, just GD tedious.
