NYT: Stunning New Video Of Polar Bears Swimming In Open Ice-Less Sea


Lest you wonder why federal wildlife conservation agencies include polar bears under the Marine Mammal Protection Act, have a look at this video.

This remarkable fresh batch of images captured by Arctic filmmaker Adam Ravetch was posted by the GoPro camera company. Not much commentary is required, although I might suggest turning off the music. Just enjoy the view!
This video is a fascinating counterpart to the segments I featured in my previous post on Ravetch’s “bear cam” filming, which focused on the bear’s activities — including berry binges — on land.
