Alan: Obamacare was a problem riddled legislation because during the legislative process Republicans would not entertain the elegant simplification of single-payer healtcare - or even a "public option." In effect, the GOP fought -- tooth and nail -- to make the Affordable Healthcare Act as shoddy as they could, then dumped 100% of the blame for its deficiencis on Obama who has favored "single payer" all along.
