Alan: Although I am a native-born American citizen, I took my first degree at the University of Toronto where I enjoyed the same low tuition-and-fees as Canadian citizens and had free access to a primary care physician.

To this day I am flabbergasted that it was always harder to get back into my own country -- in fact much harder!!! -- than to enter Canada as an American citizen.
