Republicans' DNA is opposed to democratic process, at least insofar as democratic process involves respect for the guiding principle of "one person, one vote."

In their current incarnation, American conservatives are oligarchs and plutocrats who increasingly align with Mussolini's definition of fascism.

“Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.”

This is precisely what Trump represents.

The Successful Businessman will "bring jobs back" - even though Capitalism's tooth-and-nail commitment is to replace workers with machines.

The Successful Businessman will "make deals" to restore prosperity.

The Successful Businessman will bring about an economic boom with tax cuts - which didn't work for Bush (or in Canada's recent experiment).

The Successful Businessman will impose tariffs - which never work for anybody.

The Successful Businessman will curtail free trade - blissfully unaware of lockstep blowback.
