Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Mock Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's Awkward Apology Video

On Monday night, people were still talking about Johnny Depp's and Amber Heard's uncomfortable apology to Australia for failing to declare Heard's dogs when they entered the country.

And Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel both spent time mocking the awkward-looking video.

"That was from the heart, man," Colbert said on Monday's Late Show after playing the couple's apology video. He joked it was "totally convincing" until you zoomed the picture out. Colbert Photoshopped two gun-toting kangaroos holding Depp and Heard hostage as they made the video.

He didn't stop there. Colbert made his own apology video, dressed up as Depp, next to a woman pretending to be Heard. They apologized for failing to declare their dogs.

"Nor did we declare my colon of parakeets, whom I rightfully call the Funky Bunch, nor my two 500-pound feral hogs, Niles and Frasier," Colbert said. "It was wrong, even if they are service animals — which they are not." The host then performed his own rendition of the Australia national anthem on a didgeridoo.

Jimmy Kimmel also addressed the awkward apology video on his eponymous ABC show. He said it was "uncomfortable to watch" and made it "better" by playing half of the video through a Snapchat filter, distorting Depp's and Heard's faces.
