Beatles legend John Lennon wanted to have sex with men, widow Yoko Ono claims

BEATLES legend John Lennon was bisexual but never acted on his desires, his widow Yoko Ono has claimed.

The Imagine star could not find a man attractive and intelligent enough to sleep with, the 82-year-old said.
Ono, who was married to Lennon for 11 years, said: "I think he had a desire to, but I think he was too inhibited.
"No, not inhibited. He said, 'I don't mind if there's an incredibly attractive guy.'"
"It's very difficult – they would have to be not just physically attractive, but mentally very advanced too. And you can't find people like that."

Beatles fans have speculated for years that Lennon had sex with Brian Epstein, the band's manager, during a trip to Barcelona in 1963.
Lennon admitted their relationship with "intense" in a 1980 interview but claimed it was "never consummated".
Ono denied the story, adding: “But they went to Spain, and when they came back, tons of reporters were asking, ‘Did you do it, did you do it?’
"So he said, 'I did it'. Isn't that amazing? But of course he would say that. I'm sure Brian Epstein made a move, yeah."

She also revealed she and Lennon discussed the theory that all people are bisexual at length.
She told the Daily Beast: "Well, here's another thing. John and I had a big talk about it, saying, basically, all of us must be bisexual.
"And we were sort of in a situation of thinking that we're not [bisexual] because of society.
"So we are hiding the other side of ourselves, which is less acceptable. But I don't have a strong sexual desire towards another woman."
Lennon was shot to death in 1980 aged 40 outside his apartment in New York City.
