Dear Machai,
Here is the classic We Five version of Ian and Sylvia's song.

Listening to the instrumental ending of "You Were On My Mind," I wonder if Roger McGuin and the Byrds "stole" their signature "jingle-jangle" from We Five... or vice versa.
"The We Five single marked a musical transition because the single was one of the first to feature drums and the electric guitar to a folk composition.[4]"
To this day, I remember sitting in a "club" on St. Paul St. across from my Dad's office at Hawkeye Works (a subsidiary of Kodak) listening to this song on the juke box and thinking "What a great song!"
- When I woke up this morning
You were on my mind
And you were on my mind
I got troubles, whoa-oh
I got worries, whoa-oh
I got wounds to bindSo I went to the corner
Just to ease my pains
Yeah, just to ease my pains
I got troubles, whoa-oh
I got worries, whoa-oh
I came home againWhen I woke up this morning
You were on my mi-i-i-ind and
You were on my mind
I got troubles, whoa-oh
I got worries, whoa-oh
I got wounds to bindAnd I got a feelin'
Down in my sho-oo-oo-oes, said
Way down in my sho-oo-oes
Yeah, I got to ramble, whoa-oh
I got to move on, whoa-oh
I got to walk away my bluesWhen I woke up this morning
You were on my mind
You were on my mind
I got troubles, whoa-oh
I got worries, whoa-oh
I got wounds to bind
Have a great trip.
Paz contigo
Alan
