Average American's Buying Power Down Every Year Since '71. What Liz Warren Will Do About It

Time For An Economic Crimes Tribunal? (Pope Francis Expresses Solidarity)
http://paxonbothhouses.blogspot.com/2015/02/time-for-economic-crimes-tribunal-pope.html
My apologies to Congressman Elijah Cummings.  You did very well this morning.  On any other day you would have been the subject of this diary, but alas you were sitting next to Elizabeth Warren, and she was there to "raise some sand."
Let's get something else out of the way: she is not running.  She said it again.  But in saying so, she makes it clear that she is not going to lay down on the issue that is the bedrock of our Democratic Party.
If Rosetta Stone decided to teach our Brand Name Democrats how to speak Democrat, all they would have to do is show Elizabeth Warren speeches, particularly today's appearance on Morning Joe.
Once again, Elizabeth Warren shows Democrats how to talk Democrat. The funny thing is she makes it look so easy.  She's pounding nails rebuilding what has historically been the platform of the Democratic Party.  She has worked hard to gain an understanding of this topic and it shows.  That hard work continues to benefit all of us.
Kudos to the Morning Joe panel and producers for allowing Senator Warren and Congressman Cummings the time to present their case with minimal interruptions.  I thought the questions were very legitimate, not softballs, not gotchas.  Joe did a particularly good job of holding his powder as Senator Warren went hard after his Republican Party.  Mike Barnicle's question was very fair considering Republicans control both chambers of the Congress.
Here are some highlights:
Policy Choices
...(the) Middle Class is in trouble because of deliberate policy choices made in Washington.  Than means we can make changes here in Washington.
We all know how horrible Republican policy choices have been for the middle class over the past 35 years.  But as far as policy choices go, Democrats are not blameless.  Going forward, we need to be the party of the New Deal, not the party of Nafta.  The latter policy choices have taken the Democratic Party (and the Middle Class) to the brink of extinction.  The former brought great prosperity to the Middle Class (and the Democratic Party).
Prospects for Passage
Barnicle asked:
What are the prospects for passage of legislation in the near future, not down the road, not four years, not five years.  People might get frustrated and they might give up listening to your message.
Again, a very legit question considering the political landscape.
Athletes are known to go into the 'zone'.  Think Montana, Jordan, Woods, ect.  Elizabeth Warren entered her 'zone' at the 6:13 mark.  Watch it.  Then watch it again.  This is how it is done.  This is how it needs to be done by Democrats who want to be winning Democrats.
Ya know, the prospects are a whole lot better if you get out and fight for it.
Not only what she said, but watch how she said it.  And watch the smile break out like sunshine on Elijah Cummings face. (what a great smile BTW)  He knows his teammate is in the zone.
Not Running for President
Mika asks, nay begs:
...with the passion you have on the issue of the Middle Class, how could you not be considering it?
Elizabeth Warren responds:
Ya know, I don't think this is about me.  I think this is really about this set of issues and what I want to do is talk as long and as hard and as loud as I need to.
I'm listening.  I hope our brand name Democrats are listening, too.
Update:  Thanks to Just Bob for providing some additional links.
Also, as a point of comparison, here is a video of Hillary Clinton speaking on the issue of Income Inequality last year at the Aspen Ideas Festival:
