The Earliest Dogs Likely Domesticated Themselves

Wolf pups can bond with caring people, according to a new study that shows how the wolf capacity to form attachments to humans is not a product of domestication.
Common ancestor of today's wolves and dogs might have then contributed to their own domestication by choosing to stay close to humans who supplied food and other care.
