Evangelicals Are Changing Their Minds On Gay Marriage


Alan: In Yeshua's time, over 90% of Jews were illiterate peasants. Even if Jesus saw same-sex marriage as a good thing, he could not have voiced his approval because he would have lost credibility almost as fast as fellow Jews would have stoned him to death. Today, mainstream Christian denominations can continue to oppose gay marriage, which, as a practic a matter, is a demonstrable improvement over furtive one night stands that, until recently were the only alternative. But by continuing their oppostion they will lose both respect and believers.
