A Warden Says No To The Death Penalty

Dick speaks with Jeanne Woodford, the former warden at San Quentin Prison and ex-director of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. For years Jeanne Woodford oversaw executions even though she did not believe in them. Ultimately she came out against them in a public way by taking a job with Death Penalty Focus.

DRIVING THE SAUDIS

Jayne Amelia Larson was an out-of-work actress living in Los Angeles. She took a seven-week job as a chauffeur for members of the Saudi Royal family, and struggled to please the world's richest princesses (plus their servants, nannies and one royal hairdresser). Larson tells producer Phoebe Judge stories from her new book, Driving the Saudis.
Music in this episode: "Lookout for Hope" by Jerry Douglas; "Bird's Lament" by Moondog; "Thais Meditation" by Anne-Sophie Mutter
