Make no mistake. American "conservatism" is fundamentally responsible for the "post truth" era.
And it remains to be seen whether a society that no longer aspires after truth -- and has actually developed a craving for falsehood -- can survive.
I would bet long odds that if Trump doesn't crash and burn during his first term (which I fully expect) America will become irreversibly moribund.
