Greetings,

Band leader, John Newnam, just forwarded the appended photos along with the link to 19 Miles from Davis' new Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/19MFD/

I am happy this promotional "piece of the puzzle" is finally in place since we can now print business cards and, with the approach of Spring, start playing out.

It looks like we've got a "regular" gig lined up with The Forest at Duke, an upscale retirement community with three performance venues.

Here in Hillsborough, The Nash Street Tavern -- exactly five blocks from my home -- is planning to have us play when their docket opens up in April. https://www.facebook.com/Nash-Street-Tavern-430741633794489/photos

We'll also be playing at El Restaurante Ixtapa any "Last Friday" that we're not playing elsewhere. Ixtapa owner, Don Pedro Munoz, wants to sponsor outdoor dancing for Orange and Cedar Ridge high school students which I think is a great idea. My Danny - and some of his friends -- think so too.

In late March we'll perform live on WHUP radio's "Directly From My Heart To You," a weekly "blues plus" program created and presented by Cornel Johnson https://whupfm.org/show/directly-from-my-heart/

Getting back to Facebook... I wish we had other audio files to upload as the recordings you'll soon hear were all made just 2-3 months after we formed in late September. (On the uploaded version of "Ticket To Ride" I was battling sore throat and remained raspy on "Stuck in the Middle.")

Many of our best songs -- Jumping Jack Flash, Can't You See, Desperado, The Eye, Tired of Waiting, The Weight, Evil Woman, Somebody to Love, L'il Red Riding Hood -- were not even on our playlist yet; and others -- Wagon Wheel, Cripple Creek and Come Together -- were not available for upload.

We're getting pretty good and just last week decided to rehears band members' own compositions, including Last Call, a great "story song."

We start studio work on March 6th, ostensibly to create a few quality recordings for promotional purposes, but if things go well (as we reasonably hope), we might end up with a whole album.

All in good time...

Pax

Alan
